All About the New Subaru Forester

The new Forester is near the top of its class for a reason. It seats up to five, has an impressive cargo hold, and offers a great combination of value and quality.

If you're all about safety, you'll be glad to know that aside from an impressive suite of safety features, the 2020 Forester has top-rated child seat anchors and wide-opening rear doors. But if it's adventure you're after, you'll love the standard all-wheel-drive, higher ground clearance and 33 highway/26 city mpg. The ride is comfortable and quiet on the highway. What’s that they say about stones and birds?

What's new?

The Subaru Forester didn't change substantially in 2020, but there are a few new features.

On the standard models, the Forester's adaptive cruise control system now has a lane-centering feature. You can view tire pressure for each tire now in the tire-pressure monitor. The license plate is lit up by an LED lamp. There is also an alert to remind the driver to check the back seat before leaving the vehicle.

The Premium trim level now features everything offered in the All-Weather package of 2019. The features include a windshield wiper de-icer, heated front seats, and convenient heated exterior mirrors for cold winter mornings. Top-level Touring models get LED dome lights in the cargo area.
